Here's the thing with dating apps though : they're designed with the goal of making you find love as slowly as possible.

Finding your soulmate quickly is bad business for tinder , eharmony etc , because as soon as you find someone , you stop using the website , which means you stop generating revenue.  Thus , they're encouraged to drag you on as long as possible without it hurting their reputation ( after all , if they NEVER found you a match nobody would use them ), which is entirely against their stated goal of helping you find someone .
