August smart lock - which of these deadbolts is best?

I live in the UK but want to buy the August Homekit smart lock so need to get a USA style deadbolt to use the system. Can any USA readers have a look at this list and recommend which would be the most secure option to go with. (I thought the Kwikset 980 as its grade 1 and top on homedepot most popular but I just watched a video of a locksmith slamming Kwikset. He recommended Schlage but their deadbolt has a scary Prop65 warning about poisonous chemicals, chancer etc eeek https://www.schlage.com/en/home/products/B60GRWFFF.html ).

I would go with the schlage. As for the prop65 cancer warnings.....everything in California causes cancer. They have cancer warnings stickers on coffee now.

100% Schlage over Kwikset. 

 

Back in HS, granted 10 years ago, I worked at a hardware store and rekeyed a metric truck load of deadbolts while I was there, the Schlage locks are much better made than Kwiksets.

Yeah, but he's wanting a smartlock, so regardless of what he chooses (so long as it works), he's making it less secure.

Are their Grade 1 consumer line locks like the B60 good enough or is it worth the jump to their commercial locks like the B600.  There is a big price jump the B60 is $35 the B600 is $135.

I am in the UK.  The August smart lock is only visible on the interior of the door and is only used in the USA as it doesn't fit any locks used in the UK or mainland Europe.  I am going to have to order and import a lock from the USA just to be able to use the August. 

 

It seems unlikely people would try to hack a smart lock they can't see that doesn't exist in the UK anyway.

 

The Yale smart locks here do not have great reviews hence me trying to get the American system of deadbolt and August lock.

I did look at that.  However the low ANSI grade did put me off a bit.  I don't know why but their high end Schlage Sense seems to be rated at only Grade 3, the lowest ANSI level for locks.  Yet their B60 $35 deadbolt is rated as ANSI Grade 1.
