i have spent something like €4500 on my computer in the last 4 years. right now i dont even use it dayly and when i did all i did was play esports games on it that i could have run on something costing €500 almost just as well

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.

How did that happen, and how is it the fault of U.S. currency? Were you actually planning your build based off of U.S. prices when you're in Canada?!

That's not exactly smart. Always check local prices.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Dunno just wanted to see if anyone else has done this or something related to it

Had a few regrets after my first build.  Made all these changes in the first two months:

1.) Changed my 500gb SSD to a 1Tb NVMe m.2 (paid $399 for it... ouch!)

2.) Swapped cases from Rosewill Challenger S to Fractal Designs Meshify C (Another $80)

3.) Added Coolermaster RGB fans + RGB Strip (add another $80)

3.) Just ordered cable mods extensions (basic) (add another $35)

Still thinking about upgrading mobo... will likely just wait for next intel CPU's to come out and possibly an RTX card as well.  I'd throw all the new stuff in the Meshify C when I get it and then have a second desktop build with the old parts in the Challenger S.
