Laggy PC

Just got my new PC up and running and downloaded some steam games, but when I play them they're are unbelievably laggy and unplayable. I've installed all the drivers from Nvidia, I'm worried that maybe my PC just somehow isn't good enough, but can you run it says it should be completely fine. I don't understand! Am I doing something wrong? Trying to play NBA 2k18

Specs are:

Ryzen 1600x

Gtx 960

8gb Ddr4 3000

120gb kingston ssd

GTX 960 isnt a terrible GPU.

and NBA 2K18 is not a demanding title at all.

What resolution are you trying to run at?

1080p and pretty sure you can't adjust settings to low or anything in 2k

I mean, I can run Fortnite, 2K16, ROBLOX, and any triple A title (probably expect for PUBg) with intel integrated graphics while i was waiting for my 1070 founders. I could only run at like 60 fps or something

Do you have any idea what could be wrong then?

Why don't you check the side of your case and see if you plugged it into the PCI slot instead of the PCI-E slot.

GTX 9 series is not obsolete in 2018. It just not the king anymore since the GTX 11 series arrived.

Nope, a 960 should run 2k just fine.

Can you run another 3d application and see if it does this? try 3dmark or furmark.

It's only a few years, and 1080p gaming, it's still a good choice.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

I don't think a PCIe card would fit in a PCI slot.

I just took out the graphics card and put in back and it's working now lol
