Best price/performance M.2 SSD?

Hi, I am searching for best price/performance balanced m.2 SSD (M.2 PCIe NVMe - to motherboard slot).

Don't need more than 250GB and TOP TOP performance but I want something I can count on and not as !slow! as my Samsung 250GB 850 EVO

So you can see the difference between M.2 SATA and M.2 PCIe storage?

M.2 is just a form factor, you have 2 different interfaces, sata and pcie: Sata is like your ssd so you won't notice a difference an example of this is the 860 evo's and Pcie like the samsung 960 evo, yet you won't notice the difference either since it barely favors startup time, gaming performances, it is great for reading and writing large files.

 

So I don't know what you did with your 850 evo but normally there is barely a difference between sata an pcie with normal usage.

yup. The bigger the number the better of course, though they might not be as good value.

The ADATA is barely faster than your 850 evo, go for a 960 evo then it's way faster.

Hello Baterka,

 

Check your motherboard website, they may have a list of compatible/recommended drives. You will definitely notice what it feels like to boot from NVME and how fast applications open, but that's it, you are not going to get regretted but if that doesn't matter that much any SATA SSD will give nice results too. Get the best offer that you can find and the one that offers you more warranty with your current budget.
