  1. Yeh haven't found it yet but I believe it's an old Dell with an i3 and 4GB of ram and a 750GB HDD. Been looking at ispy and kerberos. But the ZoneMinder looks doable too. Or is there another way to make an NVS out of an old desktop to storage camera imagery locally.
  2. Been thinking about getting 2 security camera's and all the affordable options require either subscriptions (nest) or back up to Chinese servers (xiaomi). So I'm wondering what is the best software I can put on an old PC to make it a storage device for security camera's?
  3. Sonos is audio over wifi, they don't have BT. And they have spotify connect which is a blessing.
  4. I currently own an LG C8 55" (only ARC no eARC) and i'm moving to a new house where it will be the main tv in the living room. So the audio from the TV alone won't be enough so I'm looking at a good surround, we would also use it to play music on Spotify. The wife factor is important and some friends have bose 700 surround set in white and others have sonos one's and she likes the aesthetic. My preference is Sonos devices and I'm planning on getting 2 Sonos one SL's as speakers behind the couch on stands or against the wall. I read a little about Dolby Atmos needing
  5. How robust is the frontfacingcameramechanism? What about the back of the phone? Can you use a flipcase for it?
  6. I have a badge for getting through the gate and doors at work so I use a flipcase around my phone which can fit some cards. As I said I had a Huawei P9 Lite so I'm not used to having facial recognition so I won't miss it anyway. What I use my phone for: watching Netflix and Youtube now and then. casting to chromecast Waze (spotify) Connected to my mi band 3 Online bank stuff Mails Google Home and Hue stuff So I'd like OLED a lot in my TV so I think it would be great in a phone too but I don't know what 2h/day of Waze/ Google Maps w
  7. I wonder what that does on battery life, the less powerfull cpu should be more power efficient or not? They have different camera sensors too.
  8. After 3,5 years of using a Huawei P9 Lite (16GB) I kinda want a new phone with a lot more storage. Was hoping for a pocophone 2 this year and it seems the mi 9t (pro) is it. For me the biggest disadvantage is the glass back as I like plastic for being really fall resistant. But I'm wondering how much I'll feel the difference of the mi 9t vs mi 9t pro? Anyone here have these phones and is happy or unhappy with them? Any other recommendations? Comparison of all phones.
  9. So recently changed @ work to a macbook pro and started noticing that I have way too many passwords and got no clue which password I have everywhere. The reason I didn't use a pw manager yet is because I barely change devices so chrome knows most of my password but that doesn't suit me anymore. So I started looking into pw managers. I'm looking for a free one. That has to work on mac (apps), applications on windows?, android and chrome. No need to use it for windows itself or mac itself as I mostly use my fingerprint and at work it's a password that has to chang
  10. Got a macbook pro from/at work and as you might know only have usb c and 3,5mm jack ports, I got a dock from 2 usb c ports to hdmi, sdcard, 2 usb a and c ports but I don't wanna plug my dongle in all the time. Right now I have a Razer Man'O War with a donglething that I would have to put in my usb c dongle. I also have €30 wired sony headphones which I normally use to watch videos on my phone in bed. I don't like wired headphones as I often put it around my neck and walk away. We use (lync) Skype for Business, might not use it at all, but to be certain I'd like a headset wi
  11. Thanks for the advice. Why 2700 vs 2700X? Why B450 board if a X470 fits in budget?
  12. A friend wants to build a PC and he sent me this: PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor (€302.99 @ Alternate Belgium) Motherboard: Gigabyte - X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard (€143.89 @ Alternate Belgium) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (€90.89 @ Alternate Belgium) Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€159.00 @ Paradigit) Video Card: MSI - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB Video Card (€569.00 @ Paradigit) Power Supply: SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX
  13. You have other companies that can connect with alexa like LIFX. Or if you search on Amazon there are some cheaper options like this one.
  14. I have the dell 7577, kind of like the g5, to game at my girlfriends home and at home I had my desktop but now we've moved in toghether I regret I did get a laptop this heavily focused on gaming. The battery life sucks (it's 4k display a gtx1060 and an i7 7700hq). I still use it for programming and having 16gb ram and and the i7 7700HQ handles far cry 5 and ac:odyssey better than my desktop i5 6600k so it has it's advantages until you have to go somewhere you can't plug it in. It only has a 45mins - 1h of battery life. So for me portability with the possibility of gaming is better, you'll
  15. Do you have powerhungry electronics on the same net? I have drops when both the washingmachine and dryer are on. It seems very unlikely your internet would drop because you're not using it as there is always little traffic.
