Which RTX 2080Ti would perform better?

Abzilla

Which RTX is gonna be better in performance?

A-    https://www.ebuyer.com/858152-asus-geforce-rtx-2080ti-gaming-oc-11gb-graphics-card-at-ebuyer-dual-rtx2080ti-o11g       Asus RTX 2080Ti

Or

B-   https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2080-ti/     Or Nvdia Founders edition RTX 2080Ti

Im confused because i have heard that the Founders RTX 2080Ti will come overclocked but will the asus model beat it as it is a extra £200 ( roughly ) at the current moment ( also i know that they arn't fully released just yet but still very curious)

Thanks :)

Probably similarly. We don't know, as they haven't been release yet. Normally 3rd party cards perform "better", because their coolers are more capable than the reference cooler. Given that the refrence cooler changed now, however, the difference may be smaller. All 10XX series performed similarly already. The FE just got loud under load, because of the cooler.

Asus one of course. No matter how well the founders card is designed, Asus will make sure the Strix is better. Or else they spoiled the ROG name...

but of course, I'm seriously against pre-ordering 20 series cards because their performance... is unproven.

I got myself 2x MSI 2080 TI Gaming X Trio mainly because 10series was dominated by it.

But I am also looking to buy an Asus ROG Strix for my media pc.
That Black Shield looks damn awesome.

IMO the only Nvidia manufacturer to buy from is EVGA. Their warranty puts them a cut above the rest. Honestly, if we people started giving their business to them because of this then chances are the other manufacturers would step up their warranty game.

Now if you are going to be water cooling then it comes down to block availability for non-reference boards, but EVGA cards normally have a water version or at least have someone that supplies custom blocks for them. Reference cards will be easy to get blocks for regardless of manufacturer.

I'm not even going to look at the links or wait for benchmarks because the answer has been and almost always will be the same. They're going to perform more or less the same so long as they dont overheat. The Asus version might have an advantage in that being able to keep it cooler will allow it to OC faster, but thats it. In then end, it's still a 2080ti.

It's like asking is an 8700k will run faster with a Cryorig H7 or a be quiet! Dark Rock 4. The cooler itself determines temperature, but not necessarily max OC

With Pascal, there was minimal difference between FE and 3rd party cards.

Seeing as Turing is Pascal w/ Ray Tracing hardware (we think), I'm going to guess that it will be the same with Turing.
