Which would you choose (RAM)

First of all, I have a FX-8320 and Kingston HyperX Blue 1600MHz. I have overclocked it to 1866MHz and 2000MHz and these are the results:

1866. CL9 will be faster than CL10. Although there is no difference in the benchmark. And the CPU speed as mentioned before.

Don't worry about the CPU speed, I was doing this very late and solely trying to get it done. Focus on the RAM alone. As a note, I left tubo core by mistake hence the added speed, I'll re-run it with it off at the same clock speed as the other test.

you gain 5% speed for 10% more latency.

I re-ran the bechmark @ 1866MHz 9-11-9-28-1T

You're gaining less than 1 nanosecond and about 100-300MB/s going from 1866 to 2000MHz. Your choice.

IMO, I'd go for the RAM @ 2000MHz, CPU @ 3.77GHz, and Base Clock (FSB) @ 215MHz.

BTW, have you experimented with increasing the CPU-NB a little higher? Something like 2600MHz or 2800MHz (maybe 3000MHz too)?

The 2000 has lower latency and better bandwidth. The latency is so minimal though, that if if the 1866 ran at lower voltage? I would take the lower voltage. You might see like .2 fps in games between the two and rendering you might see a little more. 

 

If voltage is the same? Go with the lower latency number which is 2000mhz.

 

The only way the 2000 is more then slightly faster is on integrated GPU or SLI with big cards. 

 

More power usage and hotter ram wouldn't be worth it to me for so little a gain.

Depends what you're doing. Latency tends to matter less than memory speed on a lot of applications.

 

Between 1866 and 2000 Mhz, it really won't be a noticeable difference, though.

They're both at the same voltage, I will more than likely stick with the 2000MHz @ 10-11-10-28-1T. By the way, should I leave the 28 at 28 or change it?
