GTX 1060 vs. RX 580

Which GPU is a better a GTX 1060 6GB or RZ 580 8GB, performance wise (like fps in games).

They are basically the same. Though I would go with the 580 since you'll get more VRAM and the potential to get a Freesync monitor.

The 8GB usually, but they're pretty much neck and neck.

1060 seems slightly better if your looking at raw performance but they looks pretty similar

they trade blows in games, if you have a freesync monitor get a 580, otherwise see which one is cheaper or performs better for the games you play.

They trade blows in games but AMD has more VRAM, the option to invest in a cheaper FreeSync monitor and is actually cheaper right now (cheapest decent 1060; the Gigabyte "D5 6G" is $284 and the cheapest 580 8GB is $249) so overall I'd say the 580 8GB wins although if dual fan (don't buy single fan ones, they're awful) 1060s are significantly ($50+) cheaper where you live than I'd get that
