Graphics card(s) for gaming on 4K monitors?

So I've been looking at some 4K monitors and it just seems like the processing power needed to run a 4K monitior in the highest settings for games is just absurd.

 

I'm considering saving up for one and waiting for the prices to go down, but seems like I'd need to get 2 way or 3 way SLI 780ti cards to get respectable frame rates.

 

So I was wondering, from your opinion, what kind of rig would you ideally have to run a 4K monitor at a constant 60fps with the highest settings on the current games out?

 

Maybe like a water-cooled overclocked 2-way 780ti cards would do? >.<

I think Titans or R9 290's would make more sense due to the higher memory speeds and more RAM.

Straight up gonna say "don't do it". You'll require a butt tonne of money for something that isn't really worth it at this present moment in time.

2 way 780 Ti won't hit the 60 FPS mark and even watercooled I highly doubt it.

780ti's are out of the question for 4K gaming, don't bother. Not enough VRAM, Either 290x's or Titans (Which still have issues with the bus being too small for 6GB of RAM) 3 way SLI/Crossfire should be enough to get 60FPS in Current games (Not future games)

if stuff doesn't workout well you can always run the games at 1080p it scales perfectly and it should still look good
