I dun fucked up. I bought an crucial mx500 500gb M2 sata for my laptop to realize it needed nvme. Got any ideas on what I can do with it?

Where did you buy it?

 

Try to do an exchange, ask for in store credit or if it was an online retailer / amazon just return it and say it didn't work as specified for your application shouldn't be too difficult.

 

If none of the above ill give you my address you can ship it to me I could use an M2 drive for my desktop... haha

Are you sure you need NVMe? Most M.2 slots are SATA and NVMe even on the mobile side.

I'm using it for a Lenovo Legion laptop and it wouldn't show up in the bios or windows installation error.

Newegg is the best. Told them I bought the wrong thing, opened it, and they said they'd take it back with free return shipping and no restocking fee.
