That's a good enough deal that I kind of desire to be in the UK at the moment.

 

According to Pcpartpicker at the moment that deal shaves roughly £142 from the price.

is an extra £66 worth it for double the ram that config comes with 8GB 2x4GB sticks whereas the 16 is 2x8

It is a good deal but you might not get the ram working at the rated speed without messing about in the bios. The more expensive 8Pack kit will work fine as it is Samsung B die.

Yea i should be able to just dial down the ram speed tho shouldnt i ?

Someone over on overclockers bought the same bundle and was having issues getting the ram to run at 3200 even on the latest bios. You can always ask the customer services people before hand what the score is if the ram won't work at the rated speed.
