Laptop recommendations

hi all,

 

i am looking to purchase a new laptop. My current one is about 5-6 years and old and is starting to have difficulty with basic tasks. I'm looking for a laptop around the $600 usd mark, though i'm willing to spend slightly more if it means i can get a long lasting one. it will primarily be for school and general youtube/twitch/netflix watching. 

 

after doing some digging on this forum, as well as other websites, I have seen the Acer Swift 3 pop up multiple times. I am also eyeing this laptop. My only requirements are decent battery life and reasonably lightweight. I would also like some local storage, but it will mostly be word documents so 256gb or so would more than suffice.

What is the difference between that and the X510UA? I have the X510 and I don't see a difference between the two.

Can confirm. I do not know how I lived before I owned an X250 with the 72Wh battery.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Swift 3 is the best budget choice. Inspiron 5000 series and Vivobooks are meh.
