Why people do not use the free PSU which comes with Conputer Case?

I want to build a PC. My PC vase comes with a 500W PSU.

Why people don't use the free PSU?

Can i use it without buying a branded PSU?

because those units are almost always junk, so everyone dumps them for a better unit. you can use it, but i'd recommend against it.

Because those PSUs are garbage and are more likely to take out the entirety of your system.

The PSUs included with the cases are of very poor quality. I've seen them fail in pretty spectacular ways, including killing components and even catching fire. While great fun, its not ideal if you actually want a lasting PC.

poor quality, not efficient (not 80+ certified *usually*), run hot, loud. stay away unless you cant afford $50 more for a quality 80+ gold or higher psu.

Because most of those units are barely worth the metal their housings are made of. There are some exceptions but as a rule included PSUs are pretty crap

A good 80+ bronze PSU is perfectly good. Besides, efficiency isn't the reason not to use a case-PSU -- it would take YEARS for the cost of a PSU to outweigh the higher electric costs.

They’re not designed to be good. They’re designed to just... work. How long? Well, it depends. Some can do a few monthes or some  could pop right then and there.

 

PSUs are a very important part of your system. In my eyes, they’re the most important. So definitely get yourself a decent unit to replace the very likely shoddy unit that comes with the case.

Just built a Inwin A1 with included 600w 80+ bronze psu.

Running a Ryzen 1700x and Msi gtx1080 gaming x gpu. Plus water cooling etc.

Hopefully i don't need to replace considering the case and psu was $195

That PSU should be okay so long as you don't overclock your CPU or GPU. RAM is okay to OC because its power draw is small compared to the former.

Gamer's Nexus (e.g. Tech Jesus) did a review on the InWin A1 recently.

The PSU appears to be a decent / alright 80 PLUS Bronze unit.

You are safe there.
