Posted June 15, 2018 Is 8gb ram enough for gaming, I will get Black ops 4 when it comes out and need to know if more RAM is required. I would probably only use maybe one chrome tab and discord at the same time as this and that's the most RAM demanding thing I'll do on my new computer. Posted June 15, 2018 Yes it's enough, set a large pagefile on your HDD though. Ideally you should look for 16gb but 8gb is still perfectly usable, best advise is to get a single good high frequency 8gb stick now that you can upgrade with an extra one for the total of 16gb when you have saved enough for it. Posted June 15, 2018 (edited) Get a single good stick of 8gb now, try it out it's likely to suffice you, if you ever feel it's limiting you then upgrade by buying the second stick... this is the most senseful way to go about it. Dual Channel vs Single Channel only makes a difference in gaming if you're using an APU/iGPU otherwise it won't grant you any extra fps, however it's good to have in mind that frequency and CL do help in fps, specially minimums, so try getting as close as possible to 3000mhz.
