My plant needs watering for 1 month

I will be going to vacation and i will be away for 1 month. I have this plant called peace lily and it needs to be watered every week. How should i keep it dehydrated while im away?

It looks portable enough - I'm assuming that you have exhausted the obvious solutions? (ie. asking someone you trust - a friend or a family member - to come by once a week and water the plant or just giving them the plant for safekeeping)

Even cheaper is a bottle with pin prick holes stuffed with cotton wool for slow steady drip, but I don't think those last much more than a week.

 

Or water absorbent slow release crystals, maybe there's some of those that can last 30 days.

Remember those little clear balls called orbies?

They actually had a usage other than as a toy. they release water.

 

soak a potfull of orbies before you leave, and toss them into your plant pot before you leave

Just put it outside, it will water itself when it rains and it's free.

 

Unless you live in a desert. In which case, grab one of those plant watering system off Amazon.

Can last you a long time if it only needs water once a week and if you get a massive bucket filled with water to refill it. (as with any automatic irrigation system, be sure to actually test it before leaving)
