Office wanting me to activate twice

Resolved the issue by reinstalling windows and then installing office again through https://setup.office.com as I had done previously and it installed and activated fine. looked a bit more into it and looks like it could be due to a VL version of office been installed previously. But have no personal need to look into this any deeper.

Keeps popping up asking for me to activate office when I already have done. It says that office has been activated but asking me to do it twice and when I try it says its an invalid key. My suspicion is that another copy of 2016 installed on this pc at some point but has not been removed properly. Have used Microsoft's tool for removing office completely from this link https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/uninstall-office-from-a-pc-9dd49b83-264a-477a-8fcc-2fdf5dbf61d8. But when I reinstall again I still have this issue ?

Crack it. or

Contact Microsoft, for windows trouble, get a free key. I've gotten many from the problems I have, so I have 5 Windows 10 64bit Pro

every time I start an office application it pops up. But yeah it goes away if you keep the application open

install openoffice

If you can continue to use Office, then don't worry about it, unless it really drives you nuts...

I have used it in the past but I like to have the Microsoft office just for continuity between work and home PC use. Nothing against free office software like Libre office and open office. I am aware they would work perfectly fine but it's just a strange preference thing. Plus you can get office keys real cheap if you look around
