Is this a good PC for $300-405 USD?

Go to solution Solved by Blasty Blosty,

I'd say you did very well for the budget

The mobo is the barest I've seen, but there's not many places to cut costs, so it'll work just fine here. The 3600 is a low power chip anyway

Budget (including currency): $300-$405

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Light gaming and light game production

CPU, CPU COOLER, MOBO, and GPU are from Aliexpress while some other custom parts are from Amazon.

And Yes, this is the same build I posted a day ago. Just trying to do a second round of checks since I changed some things and wanted other people to give their opinions on it.

If optimizations are going to be made, the cost of the entire build has to be between $300 and $405

Thr only thing id change would be to get a bit better board. Just so in the future you can upgrade to an 8 core cpu as this board is simply too low end to havr vrms that can handle anything past an efficient 3600.

Also for 400$ you can just buy complete gaming pcs with better specs btw. Have often found ryzen 3600 + like gtx 1070's or better for the price with ease

Often a lot of good deals on Facebook Marketplace or other local selling sites

I'll look into deals on Facebook Marketplace then, hopefully I'll find some good builds, if not I'll just stick to my build

Yes, I found 2 good posts, but one of them are really suspicious. The first one has a 3070 and a Ryzen 5 5600G for $250, strange.

And the other one is better priced, but only has a i7 8700 with a GTX 750 Ti with an option to add in a RX 6400 for a hundred dollars.

First PC: linkie

Second PC: linkie 2.0

That seller has a terrible review score, avoid them immediately

Yeah I would find other listings

Try sites like eBay too, with them you get buyer protection at least
