can someone list what each of these systems offer, just got a brand new tv so im gona sell my xbox 360 and get a new console, dono what each has to offer. i dont care about that kinect shit from xb1

You don't have a very good one. You may have to get a better one to get a better PC.

Positive:All the Microsoft applications and Metro functionality. (See the adverts), 

Negative: Slower, hard to replace hard drive, bigger, external PSU

 

PS4:

Positive: Better performance, easily replaceable hard drive, internal PSU, smaller

Negative: Lack of external drive support.

 

But just get a PC

Upgrade your current PC instead. Getting a console is a massive waste of money.

  • Microsoft spying
  • More expensive
  • Paid online
  • Microsoft DRM
  • Can't say fuck in your own living room
  • Controller is uncomfortable
  • Less powerful

Playstation 4

 

Pros:

  • Cheaper
  • More comfortable controller
  • Smaller
  • More powerful

Cons:

  • Online support not as good
  • Most indie titles will go to XBL
  • Locked down for media content
  • Paid online

PC

Pros:

  • Much more diverse library
  • Cheaper
  • Multi-function
  • Can emulate all consoles PS2 and before (possibly XB1/PS4 soon :o)
  • Expandable
  • Not locked down to one manufacturer
  • So customizable it's not even funny

Cons;

  • Can't play with your friends on the same exact machine
  • Prone to viruses (not if you are smart enough)

These are obviously just in my opinion, I think you should really build a PC yourself unless you have friends who are on consoles.

In my eyes, it's whatever you think has the better controller.

Although I haven't tried the new controllers, I proffered the 360 controller over the ps3 controller.

 

I really like the design of the ps4 though. I think it would look cool if it were wall mounted.
