I can't edit ReadOnly files

How am i supposed to edit read only files, i am the owner but i can't seem to edit it.

They are read only. The clue is in the name.

 

Which files are we talking about? Have you tried opening Notepad as admin and then opening said files?

Right-click on the file, go into properties. On the bottom of the properties window, there should be a "read-only" checkbox. Can you un-check it?

Read only literally means "read only" aka "no you can't edit it"
