new PC, please take a look at my fan set up

Chicken Boy

Hello all,

I have done watching a lot of video here and there but I still can't figure out what's the proper push/pull set up

So i have attached my PC set up here to get feedback and see if I have done correctly

The arrows in the diagram indicates where the air travels

PSU is isolated by the shroud so it's not part of the system flow

thank you

Some people say that you shouldn't use radiators as intakes... Not sure if there is any validity to it, but might raise ambient by a degree or two?

In that case I will would change the radiator fans to outtake, it might affect the GPU temp a degree or 2. But that might change your case to negative pressure. To counter that, try to set speed of the fans to make it Intake volume > outtake volume.

should i just flip the radiator fan or mount fans on top first?

Since you are using RGB fans, it would be a waste not showing them.

would there be performance difference?

I'm conflicted because if i put radiator first then i can't see fans from outside the case

if i put fan first then i wont see the fans from inside the case (say if i choose to put the PC on desk)

real tough choice

There wont be any difference in terms on performance.
Aesthetics is base on preferences, personally I like towards clean looks with some RGB to highlight the case. But Since you are going max on RGB everywhere, maybe is better to mount it below the radiator?

If you put your top three 120 mm fans first, blowing air through your 360 mm radiator, a lot of dust will be collected between your fans and radiator.

Then afterwards, when it's time to clean your PC (get rid of the dust) you need to remove the fans from the radiator itself.

Otherwise, in your current configuration, you only need to unscrew the radiator from your computer case.

When it comes to thermal performance, there won't be any difference between both configurations (provided that you clear all the dust properly and regularly).

It's more a matter of preference.
