How much Hz can you tell a Monitor can be OC'd

You are able to overclock your monitor from 60-80 apparently from some videos. I was able to overclock my super old Hp2010i to 65hz.

 

Some may know me from the IPS vs TN post just now so is it possible for a monitor, from Asus that is TN 1ms that is 60hz to be able to oc to 70+ hz. I have a gtx 1060

I've had crappy monitors be able to push 20Hz or more than their rated speeds but I've also had great monitors not be able to do even 1Hz over their rated speeds.

Yes, I have 9 monitors.

My main PC (Hybrid Windows 10/Arch Linux):

OS: Arch Linux w/ XFCE DE (VFIO-Patched Kernel) as host OS, windows 10 as guest

CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X w/PBO on (6c 12t for host, 6c 12t for guest)

Details: 12GB ram, GTX 1080, USB card passed through to windows 10 VM. VM's OS drive is the SATA SSD. Rest of resources are for Plex, Duplicati, Spaghettidetective, Nextcloud, and game servers.

It's like CPU silicon lottery. My Samsung S24D390 was easily overclocked from 60hz to 75h but my success doesn't guarantee yours.

Also remember, pressing "apply" and it succesfully applying the overclock does not mean it's working properly. 

You need to test for frameskipping!
