When intel i7 coffee lake 8 core processor will release?

I heard there is  a interview new i7 8 core coffee lake processor will come soon also heard intel coffee lake i9 8 core processor is coming. It will come with Z390 motherboard. When it's gonna be released? Anyone have any idea?

Or should  get i7 8700k ? I want more fps because i will buy PG35vq ultrawide curved monitor at the end of this year which one nearly 4k resolution 3440x1440.

Should i wait? I will buy Gtx 1180.

That cpu release with this GPU?

Give me advice guys.

Thanks :)

I doubt there will be a new coffee lake CPU. I think they will go to 9th gen, like wine lake and introduce 8 core CPU's.

Not exactly sure though. Might see an 8th gen 8 core.

Intel 10nm is delayed, 14nm CFL 8 core should be coming at the end of the year.

It was my CPU since 2012. I sold it in January because of mobo problem. @ARikozuM20180119_154329.thumb.jpg.68c9d18bd4002eb4d8404f9102809878.jpgFB_IMG_1515519546003.jpg.6a99762b199b962f9029ca8ef24830d4.jpg20180119_153711.thumb.jpg.51509abfb415539de83e3822d28022cc.jpg

Hey I had that exact cpu with 8 gb DDR3 RAM and a GPU that was basically the same power, and i upgraded 3 months ago to the i7 8700k with a 1080ti and 16gb of 3200mhz RAM and its honestly beyond anything ive ever used in terms of speed and power, the actual bottle neck is the 1080ti it still isnt fast enough, but yeah if you are willing to wait for the cpu and gpu then do it but if you upgraded now you wont be disappointed, basically if you have the patience then i guess wait but know you might be waiting for a while other wise upgrade now and enjoy the new power.

wow I had mine for 5 years, mine was actually a pc I salvaged from a friend it was struck by lightning and he said it was dead but it was actually just the mobo and gpu and network card that fried so I took the cpu bought the cheapest mobo and some generic second hand RAM stuck a card in it and the HDD still worked and I had my own PSU already from my previous PC and I was good to go but last year near the end the RAM started acting up and my hard drive also started acting up and frankly its performance in games was barely enough anymore so this year I got a new job and I made the cash and I upgraded after years of waiting :D

Not much point for a 8 core CPU if gaming is your focus. Definitly won't offer more fps over a 6 core of the same architecture from Intel. Just a thought for you.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

yeah OP he has a good point, those 2 extra cores wont do much for games only work, like rendering and stuff unless they are faster but they most likely wont be greatly faster due to extra cores generating more heat. but still I guess 8 cores is nicer than 6 haha

September, the good reason to wait isn't even about the extra 2 cores but for the 100% certain your z390 board gets 10nm support.

I get people are core crazy, but you lose latancy as the core count rises. If you're talking about a workstation big whoop, if it's a gaming rig you're giving up performance for bragging rights. Worth thinking about.

Those extra 2 core give me more fps and future proof for gaming.

i dont think so, until the 2 extra cores are relevant you need most likely something new anyway. Not going to happen within the next 5years, maybe not even in the next 10years.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x3D | MoBo: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk | RAM: G.Skill F4-3600C15D-16GTZ @3800CL16 | GPU: RTX 2080Ti | PSU: Corsair HX1200 |

Case: Lian Li 011D XL | Storage: Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe 500GB, Crucial MX500 500GB | Soundcard: Soundblaster ZXR | Mouse: Razer Viper Mini | Keyboard: Razer Huntsman TE Monitor: DELL AW2521H @360Hz |

What should i do then? I heard about ice lake , Tiger lake and core i9 8 core coffee lake coming. What you think? I saw in YouTube they compared i7 7700k and i7 8700k . i7 8700k is beast and i saw more fps like 10 or 15fps.

That's because of clock speed and single core improvements with Coffee Lake, the added cores only help in a few games.

For gaming you can't beat a 8700k, only thing that comes close is a 8600k.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Yea i think 8core is coming until end of the year. 4th quarter 2018.

However i dont think that it will be faster than the 8700k for gaming because you probably wont hit the same clockspeeds. It will still be on 14nm. The 8700k is already running quite hot when overlocked so it will get really tricky to cool an 8Core CPU that needs more power from begin with. Even if Intel changes their mind and solder it. So i guess that it wont target gamers as main buyer.

If you ask me personally i cant tell you what to do. If you have to save up money anyway you can wait and decide when its out. I have chosen to just buy the 8700k. Im happy with it so far. But i also wouldnt buy a 3440x1440 Monitor, Graphics Cards just arent fast enough for high refreshrate gaming on it. Hell im that kind of person that would buy a GTX1080TI or GTX1180 for 1920x1080 and maybe buy a 240hz Monitor and i still would play without Ultra Settings. I dont give a f*** about higher resolutions or higher game settings that makes everything look stupidly overloaded, it just doesnt improve my gaming experience or fun, but no blur/stutter + low input lag triggers my heart.
