Good fans for h100i

Swegly

I am gonna buy an h100i and I was thinking of replacing its fans with noctua nf-f12's but people have said that its not worth paying 30 dollars per fan when there are cheaper/better things. I was also considering the sp 120 quiets but people have told me those are loud. Any reccomendations?

If you want Scythe GTs you'd better pick them up quick as they're going EOL.

I use E-Loops myself.

You can get re-branded E-Loops from phobya an alphacool iirc with different colour fan blades.

Ive heard that the sp120's are a little louder than the noctua nf f12's but the static pressure applied is better than them. Is this a better option for my h100i?

The H100i already comes with SP LE fans which run slightly faster than the performance retail ones iirc. You may as well try it with those first before buying anything extra.

I heard the stock fans are like jet engines tho

They are loud, but you'll get an idea of the sound signature.

The performance SP120s are not much quieter.

Scythe GT AP15s if you can still find any. Else E-loops or SP120s. They trade blows in the acoustics and airflow areas; SP120s don't perform as well at low rpms acoustically and at high RPMs, GTs have a significant advantage. Depending on what RPM range you're going for

< 1,000 RPM: E-loop B12-3, NF-F12

< 1,500 RPM: GT-AP15, E-loop B12-3

> 1,500 RPM: GT-AP45

I'd recommend the NB E-Loops, but good luck getting them if you're in the states.

Buy Thermaltake 2 Extreme instead. It's superior to the Corsair and is much cheaper with rebate.

Use the savings towards those Notcua fan (or others) upgrades.

Oneplus 6 | Sony 55" X900F . Lenovo Y540 17" 144Hz RTX 2060 . i7 9750h.

Audio-GD DAC-19MK3 > Schiit Lyr 2 + > FOSTEX TH900 . Sony XBA-Z5

OP might have an issue with the thickness of the extreme 2.0. most peeps

have an issue with the smaller 25mm radiator, moving to the 38mm radiator

will compound the issue in a R4 case.

From what I understand, there's something about the design of the fans with regards to pressure which make them a good choice (well pretty much the only choice) for RAD coolers...
