GPU running warmer after getting new CPU cooler/case

Current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XPjnLJ

I didn't run any benchmarks or anything, I played some overwatch with youtube playing a video in the background to pretty much run a 'regular workload' for my PC.

I had recently just updated my case (nzxt s340 to Meshify C) and my CPU cooler (from AIO to air cooler). My old build would usually have my gpu at 55c-60c under the same load but now it's hitting 70c with a more open case and better fans.

I have the front bottom fan almost sitting on the psu shroud to get air towards the gpu with the top fan aligned with the CPU (it sort of leaves a gap between the two fans). Then I have one exhaust fan in the back.

Possible issues might be fan placement? Should I get another exhaust fan to throw up top? Also the heat sink on the Dark Rock Pro 4 is right on top of the gpu. Could that be causing heat issues?

I messed around with my fan curve last night and got the CPU temps down to 40c-42c under load. But no changes in the GPU.

Also, something I noticed was that after gaming. I opened up my case and the top of my gpu (right underneath the heatsink of the cooler) is very warm. I'm thinking there's hot air getting stuck between the two.

Trying to figure out what my options are for fixing this.

If I were to guess, if the CPU heat sink in the old setup was smaller, then the new one could be blocking potential airflow from the bottom half ("half" being where the video card is) to the top half. If you can get an exhaust fan (like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Antec-Cyclone-Blower-Expansion-Cooling/dp/B000051299) to pull the bottom half air out, that might help things.

What cooler and fans did you run before and what rpm were the fans running at?

If these variables were changed and you aren't using consistent loads for test for temps, that can explain the rise in temps.

I had an old Corsair h100 with the radiator installed in the  front (fans set up for intake)lol ande stock nzxt case fan on the back as exhaust. Same fan curve set up on the mobo as before.

So that connects to the pci slot below my gpu? And I'm hoping to get a more silent build so is there one that isn't gonna be too noisy

I was thinking the bottom-most slot.

I just listed that as an example. The spec sheet also says its noise output is 28dBA, whatever that means.

Alternatively and I doubt this is doable, but can you flip the PSU so its intake is facing into the PC? Of course, that would raise the temps a little on the PSU but at the same time it's providing a better airflow path.

Every fan in that photo is actually set up as an exhaust. That probably explains lower gpu temps since the heat would've been taken away at the expense of cpu cooling.

Ahh ok sorry bout that, pretty new to building.

What are my options for fixing the GPU temps? Buying more exhaust fans for the top?

Adding an exhaust fan at the top can help since you're running one less fan than before.

You can also try raising fan rpm and still keep noise lower than before.

I'll try it. I've had these be quiet fans running at 80% and it was still pretty quiet so added another fan shouldn't be a problem in terms of noise.

Thanks.

70C is still quite good for GPU under load. I woulnd't be worried at that point. But i do agree with WoodenMarker that having all fans exhaust have been temps down for GPU (and with AIO for CPU you haven't noticed missing intake fans).
