When should I next upgrade my rig

TheGoldenVu

So I got my PC last month and I was just curious on when i should next upgrade my gaming rig. The tower cost my around about $2300 Aus dollars.

Here are my specs:

Processor: i5 4670

Motherboard: Asus B85M-G

RAM: Kingston ddr3 1600mhz 16gb

Graphics card: 780 ti

Power supply: FSP Aurum 750 watt

And I was wondering if my PC would be good for editing videos for YouTube and Streaming on Twitch?

Could you please post your PC specs to so I can see the LinusTechTips community PCs

the 780ti wont be worth updating for awhile. I very much doubt the 880GTX will be a worthwhile update.

Perhpahs Intels new Hasswell-E might be your next upgrade if you want to start editing things

The next upgrade is up to you. I would only upgrade the GPU in 2 years time and yes your PC is good for streaming. Click on my profile picture to see my specs

Buy an SSD. If you already have one, buy a bigger SSD. If you already have a big SSD, build a SSD RAID array.

I need more SSDs.

I can see your point but the reason why it cost me a lot more was because i got it built for me too. I think if i built it may self it would cost me around $1900 not including posting

How much does a gtx 780 cost in the Norwegian currency?

Due to the difficulty of trading in Norway (you don't want to see the taxes here...) prices on the same tech from different companies vary by an extreme amount, but here is what I got (from the webpage Komplett.no)

http://www.komplett.no/asus-geforce-gtx-780ti-3gb-physx-cuda/805427

5990 Norwegian Krone corresponds to 972.224 USD  And there are more expensive variants of the 780 as well...

Welcome to Norway :D
