Will I have enough power? (500 W)

TOG_WAS_HERE

I'm doing a rebuild for a friend, I'm putting a 500W power supply [Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+]

What I'm putting into the system:

  • GTX 1050 SC (Graphics card runs off of PCI-E power no 6-8pin)
  • Intel 3.70 GHz Core i3-6100 3M Cache Processor (BX80662I36100)

  • GIGABYTE GA-H110M-A LGA1151 Intel H110 Micro ATX DDR4 Motherboard

  • Patriot Signature Line 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 PC4-19200 2400MHz Memory Module Kit PSD48G2400K

Will this power supply do the job?

Thanks!

Yes, 500W are more than enough.

The PSU is bad quality though.

For that a good 300-350W is more than plenty, so a  good quality 400-450W PSU will do the job fine.
Sadly there aren't many.

If you're in Euroland, you could get something like Pure Power 10, maybe System Power 9.

So get a better quality PSU!

You should be fine, those parts aren't very demanding.  Enthusiasts here will tell you that you can do better than that particular PSU for the same price, but if your options are limited (ex. you're buying from a local retailer) it'll do the job.

The PSU choice is crap, but the wattage is fine.

A Corsair CX450/M would be a good replacement.
