Please, we don't need one of these threads. It just stirs up controversy and hate towards the console side. I am not trying to be an asshole here, but it's true. It won't stay civilized for long.

My choice? I am near impartial, with a bit of bias to the PC side. The reason for this bias is not one that I know, but I love PCs.

I choose PC because the graphic advantage, the ability to change whatever part you want wich means you can always be up to date with everything, you can choose to use either mouse or keyboard, they can look cooler;), more games for pc and more that I can't really think off right now:)  disadvantage: they can be more expensive if you want to compete with the graphics and frame rate of a consol.

For a PC, it's a PC. You can type stuff, do homework, surf the web, and much more. PC also has modding. There are more exclusive titles for PC.There is also 4K, Steam, shield, etc.

For console, It is easier to set up, and, for me, all of my friends, except for one who doesn't have a rig yet, use console. If I want to play games with them I have to use my PS3.

My new rig build log:http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/80801-m-itx-pc/?p=1158887 Now finished with  970!                          Can anybody give me a freelancer?                  I need to transport more HYPBP.               Butt Imperium games                     RAINBOW .                   840 EVO still awesome                    The evil that is verizon has been vanquished!      ܝܘܚܢܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܦܪܝܡ

I also very much LOVE my PC but I do believe that we some what need consoles around because they do bring some competition for gaming in a way.

Pc pros:

mod support(main reason)

upgradablity

key and mouse is best in my opinion

space heater in the winter

sales from steam and origin make it a lot cheaper then console games

more storage most of the time

multiple screen support

backwards compatibility

Dont have to pay for multiplayer

Over a few years its cheaper

Cons of pc:

It will not play games with the same setup for many years

Lack of amazing exclusives

expensive starting cost

Not as much communication

better optimization a lot of the time

the amount of crashes is minimal compared to pc

lighter then pc 80% of the time.

I always tell people this whenever they ask.

I'm for PC all the way, but i see advantages in both.

(Why i like) PC -

I always game at a desk, even when using a console, so why not use the better system?

Faster

Graphics

I LOVE being able to have full control over what happens with my computer. i spend more time tweaking to make the graphics JUST right, than i do actually playing.

Cheaper in the long run, (i have saved SO much money on games. I could build my PC two more times with the saved money.)

MODS!!!

You can make your case look like whatever you want.

I can also work at my computer.

More monitors

LAN PARTY'S!!!

The reasons that Consoles can be better -

If you like gaming on your couch, this is better option

Idiot proof (except for that xbone brick trick)

Cheaper upfront cost (but you pay FAR to much for games)

Multiplayer is easier (don't have to find servers/ just hook up controller and play split screen. This is the biggest complaint from my console loving friends.)

More people use them.
