PC's are faster, have better graphics, can be changed and upgraded and can be used for more things than consoles

I have a video on this topic on my YouTube channel but I won't post it here. In a nut shell here is my take!

Consoles

1) Easier to start up and get playing both single player and multi-player

2) More stable and better overall experience due to hardware diversity being taken out of the equasion

3) Cheaper hardware (however if you factor in cost of games this quickly goes away)

4) Smaller footprint (usually) and easier to connect up to entertainment center without trouble shooting

PCs

1) Much more configurable

2) Can be way more powerful then the Consoles if you have the money

3) Can do things consoles can't dream of (Multiple Displays, Head Tracking, Transducers, Motion, etc)

4) Also a computer, so can do evertying a Console can't.

I own a XBOX 360, XBOX One, PS3, PS4, WiiU & Ouya and they all have a place in my bedroom when I want to kick back in bed and game without having to tweak with things. But my epic gaming rig is the only thing for racing sims, flight sims, online FPS when I'm not wanting to just chill in bed or on the couch, etc. So my answer is simply this 'they all have pros and cons and all have a place in my life!'

Thanks!

They both have pro's and con's. In the end either can be utilized to play video games. Which is what we all do. I prefer PC overall but love console as well. I own a PS3, 360, PS4, and XONE for the exclusives. Consoles still have some great games not on PC

The only current console there is would be the Nintendo Wii-U. Why do I say this? It isn't a poser pretending to be a PC and it isn't trying to max out its hardware and look bad doing it. It has a game library focused on this thing called "fun". Nintendo Wii-U knows what it is and for that, I respect it.

The PS4 is more or less a mini-PC as is the Xbone. The latter of which is still stuck doing 720p while trying to match PC level of uber graphics...which is not even possible, or close. Cross platform type of games between these are also not very compelling since you can find similar games, more often than not, for the PC AND BETTER. Not worth spending 60 dollars a game for all this when games for PC go on sale all the time and are moddable.

Still, I have a soft spot for Nintendo and they are the only console makers that earns my respect for not being a try-hard PC wannabe. That and the solid franchises that no other console maker holds a candle to. You can keep your Halo and whatever Sony is doing these days. I'd take Zelda, Mario and Pokemon. :P (as much raw power the PC has, it can't touch some console series, sorry..and I love PC -- each have their pros and cons. It's about the games, not the platform.)
