Looking for a Low Profile Cooler

ASWprime

I have been running into problems with my Intel stock cooler as of late and am in the market for a new cpu cooler. However, my case wouldn't fit something like a hyper 212 and I can't find many low-profile coolers that would be decent and have a 4-pin fan connector. Any suggestions?

Alternatively I have a cooler from a dell workstation that is much beefier but uses a 5-pin connector instead. I tried to find adapters or re-wiring options but to no avail so if you have a suggestion for that too that would be more than welcome.

What CPU do you have?
What case do you have?

Noctua make a couple of good low profile coolers, including ones that come with PWM fans.

Newegg and eBay have some great deals on low profile coolers. My personal favourite is the Arctic freezer series.

You should be able to find heaps of cheap coolers all around the web.

hi.

first results on google....

Dude... I looked... I swear. Your Google-fu beats mine on this day. Thank you, but I think I have found a cooler that will be a bit less janky than this.

Also my pc was a bear-bones that I have upgraded through the years so I'm not sure of the exact case model but it is med-tower from cyberpower with a micro-atx board in it that ceetainly doesn't have ~155mm of clearance needed for a hyper.

Cryorig C7 is my instant recomendation, but it all depends on how much space you actiually have

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Great cooler and an amazing price. When you choose to upgrade, choose a cooler with a copper base for better heat disipation.

Thanks, done and done.

I should be able to fit the m9i that I posted in there by about 20mm so I think I'm going with that. Appreciate the recommendation though.

If you're not sure what case you have, post some photos of it and / or tell us the model name of the system.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/
