Any updates on 4k 144hz?

I was just wondering are there any updates anywhere about asus's and Acer's 4k 144hz displays as the last thing I heard about them was a subtle talk from Linus in the want show otherwise nothing, does anyone know anything!?

Doubt much will come out for a while, not a massive demand for them I'd guess so no need to release them yet

We havent seen a graphics card capable of doing that in games yet, so that monitor is probably still waiting for either Nvidia or AMD.

Even SLI 1080Ti can't maintain 144fps in the most demanding titles @ 4K so it's pretty useless for now.

Yeah i guess no one is looking for a more future proof monitor that they can use for a few PC's and not have to replace after a few years. They're doing the right thing in not releasing anything like that.

Yes that was sarcasm. Plenty of games go over 60fps on 4K these days.. just not any monitor, so why not release a monitor that can last for years and multiple pc's... ill never understand it. Hell, soon TV's can do more frames on 4K then monitors....

I have no signature

People really can't understand that you can, you know, use 4K in general and play 1080p for fps games for high framerate?!

Asus delayed there's to atlease fall and the delay of DP 1.5 didn't help.

4K@144 is limited on display port side. It can only do 4:2:2 with DP 1.3 and DP 1.4 uses DSC. DP 1.5 is still in development, Once released it will be able to do 4K@200.

Current Build: Project Frost
Gaming Rig Build: Project Ice Dragon
