Save the captions!

Long story short, @LinusTech said he was thinking of getting rid of the captions since nobody comments on them. See below for an example in which I added a red box to highlight what I'm talking about.

I don't mind them, they are like the subtitles/captions in the Futurama intro.

I like them. Getting rid of the captions because they’re not being commented on would actually make the channel less funny or interesting.

Right? They're not the focus of the videos but they sure are part of the personality of the channel as a whole.

They better not get rid of them!!! Id say those captions are something that makes LTT videos special and funny at the beginning always

I like them.

I think the reason no-one talks about it is because there really isn't anything to talk about. It's a small little quip at the start of the video which isn't really a point of discussion. You consume it pretty quickly, get a small giggle or "heh" out of it and it's done.

Out of curiosity, who writes them? Some of them are pretty clever. Must get tiring to think up new ones each day though.

I guess they've had their time. But then whole intro should be rewamped. They are critical part of current intro.

I know Linus secretly hovers through the forum. My only hope is he sees this post and doesn’t remove the captions.

 

I would like to see a new intro though, that’s for sure. It isn’t needed right away, but would be nice.
