How much Thermal Paste is necessary for a GPU and two CPUs?

DrDerp

First off I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong subforum, I just didn't know which cooling it would go under.

Okay to the point, I need to use thermal paste for two CPUs (I have an older system which I am selling once I get a new processor and a newer system that I am building for myself) and one GPU (needs a lotta cleaning and such). How much would be necessary to use on all three? Would 4 grams be enough or too little?

Who needs fancy graphics and high resolutions when you can get a 60 FPS frame rate on iGPUs?

1 Tube of basically any of the stuff will work. I have done several computers all with one tube of Arctic Silver.

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 🙂

Well not the entire 4 grams obviously but yes a tube that size will be plenty for all that.

Try using the PSU Tier List!

I bought one 4g tube of Arctic MX-4 and I repasted CPU at least 6 times and GPU at least 3 times, I still have some left.

1g of Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut for two delided CPUs and I still have some left.

The minitubes coming with coolers are good for 3 installs. So one normal tube will be enough for those and many more to come.
