Holy shit how the fuck do you see there's only 100 items available and think "yeah I have a chance" when you're not even IN THE FUCKING BUILDING.  Even if you didn't realize that quantities were limited, no retailer would be able to sell any significant volume of cheap Apple products anyways because the at-cost is even far higher than $50.

Well, maybe they were intentionally selling at a loss to gain more in other ways: Apple accessories, headphones etc... Further, they got some serious advertising from this stunt. 

 

Perhaps this isn't the best example of such practice. I remember working at Staples and selling ruled paper for pennies, but the store more than made up for it with the overpriced binders and dividers that were bought with the paper. At the end of the month the store made a lot of money.

I can install whatever I want on my phone and even root it with minimal effort. No need to go through the play store if I don't want to. Also I get to chose one of dozens of phones while apple users get to pick one of 3 if they're lucky.
