Case Choices and my new fave mobo

Canada EH

Whats the best case?

Which one would you choose?

I'd personally pick the Silverstone Raven RVZ01 - 382 x 105 x 350 - 14 liters - The HDD has its own bay, and has an extra inch for gpu, and has room for custom water cooling!

This would be my second choice the Fractal Node 202 - 377 x 82 x 330 mm - 10.2 liters

Silverstone Milo ML08 - 380mm x 87mm x 370mm - 12 liters

Im gunna pair it with Gigabyte K7 because I was told it was the best motherboard for AMD.

If I was buying right now, this would rougly be my list:

Fractal Design Meshify C

Silverstone RL06 (and also new version)

Fractal Design Define R6

Also if you're just buying, I'd personally wait as I think Ryzen 2 is coming by the end of this month.

For me my favourite case is the Corsair Obsidian 750D full tower. The design itself is a few years old now but this case is a real stunner in terms of looks (hands down the best looking full tower in my opinion) and obviously way more practical than the 900D which is the top of the range in the Obsidian line. I've being using one for my new main rig (which I've had for around 4 weeks now) and don't regret my decision and going from my old mid-tower to this case I've noticed my GPU running cooler which in turn makes my overall core speeds higher than before (using the same sort of fan curve that I had previously).

Intel Core i7 7800X 6C/12T (4.5GHz), Corsair H150i Pro RGB (360mm), Asus Prime X299-A, Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4X4GB & 2X8GB 3000MHz DDR4), MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G (2.113GHz core & 9.104GHz memory), 1 Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB NVMe M.2, 1 Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD, 1 Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD, 1 WD Red 1TB mechanical drive, Corsair RM750X 80+ Gold fully modular PSU, Corsair Obsidian 750D full tower case, Corsair Glaive RGB mouse, Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 (Cherry MX Red) keyboard, Asus VN247HA (1920x1080 60Hz 16:9), Audio Technica ATH-M20x headphones & Windows 10 Home 64 bit.

You do realize the K7 is an ATX board, and you're listing mITX cases right?

If I can justify it, and I have the money, I'd love to do this build, or something similar:

I love the dependability of the Taichi line, at least according to the reviewsI've read.

The Tiachi isnt a good motherboard, there are similar priced better mobo's.

I like the portability of the smaller cases but like everyone on planet earth, we all have multiple pc's in our homes.

So my OC'ing pc / gaming pc for the kids would be the K7 mobo say in the den room off of the kitchen, then the sff pc in the my home office upstairs, then the pc at the office would be atx tower and the pc up at the lake cabin would be any ole pc laying around.

Wow, what's the issue with the Taichi? By all accounts it's supposed to be one of the best lineup of motherboards.

Here is the Tiachi at the timepoint in question

someone posted a video a day or two ago, might be the same vlogger, basically the guy regretted buying the tiachi because it lost post codes and some other annoying things about the mobo, and he wouldnt buy that mobo again.

Yup I dunno man, I think your right, I was thinking amd ASrock Tiachi not X399

I'm getting the X399, but I'm hearing the whole Taichi line seems pretty solid

So to be clear, you need an ATX case? Because your OP listed mITX cases that will not fit that motherboard
