I have GT 1030 and GTX 1050... I have not bothered to OC the 1030 but I did the 1050.

The performance increase was somewhere in 2-5FPS range, depending on game. Expect even less with the 1030.

So...you're expecting good fps from a 1030?

So... you are expecting to spend $200 on gtx 1050ti? I'm asking people with this gpu to share their oc settings. Also i could buy gtx 750 ti which is "so much better", but in reality is with 3 fps faster in best case.

Don't expect anything with the 1030.

If i can gain 5 fps from oc this will be very good. Even if it's 2 or 3 that's still good. This is matching 750ti.

I think I added about 100 MHz to the core. No idea what the impact was.

I would not overclock a card that has such a small heatsink and poor fan.

You can cool that card by blowing air from your mouth on the heatsink, it barely outputs any heat as it is so low power... even if you OC it, it will be sitting at 50W max.

750ti is noticeably cheaper than a 1030 for sure.

And since you put a card that'ss only available used on the table, I can tell you that a used GTX 960, 970 or AMD's R9 280 series are much better deals.

I would consider that a bad place to live :P

But the 1030 is really bad for a GPU. Ryzen APU's are a bit slower, but much better value since it has CPU and GPU on the same thing.

No, it's not faster. With 3200 mhz ram is possible to match, but surely if you spend that much on ram, you will get better gpu. Also im planning to buy a new gpu aftet a year or year and a half when there is new gpus on goos prices.

I somehow messed up my typing, then edited my old post.

From what I can find, PCPP lists the cheapest Ryzen 5 1400 sells at $150, while Amazon lists the pre-order price of Ryzen 5 2400G to be $170. That's just $20. At the same time, the cheapest 1030 cost $70 last time I checked (I saw $80 minimum in PCPP which is higher than the first launch price). All that extra money, just for 0-30% extra performance.

What's up with people thinking that overclocking is some sort of performance boost miracle? a GT 1030 is a still the Pascal's lowest end, it can game fine at 1080p low/medium but you really should keep your expectations in check.

I know that it will not give me 20 fps boost, but really if the oc can give me like 3 to 4, its something.

TBH you wont notice a difference, ive got the palit 1030, overclocked with the core at 1017mhz a ( +190 ) and a 3308mhz on the mem ( +304 ) and its done nothing, lucky this is just a stop gap until I get a 1060. for the games I play which isn't AAA or anything popular atm. hope this has helped a little bit. there is still some room to get the OC a little higher and I will guess with pushing it you could see an average of 5fps. Its not worth it.

I've overclocked mine with 250 on core and 600 on memory and is bumping the fps. From 26-27 on Far Cry Primal to 30-32 FPS. Also it's helping in PUBG.
