Posted February 10, 2018 I'm trying to pick up the scraps from cryptocurrency, and try to mine. Which card is better for mining now, and then maybe gaming later. I'm probably going to go for the 390, but what do you think? i like trains

The 390 will run rings around Maxwell in just about any cryptocurrency, but the 980 will outperform it in most games. Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried. Edited February 10, 2018 by Damascus Nvm, it's the 390x that's within 10% Want to custom loop? Ask me more if you are curious
 Posted February 10, 2018 I'd go with the 390 if it has a really good cooler, otherwise don't bother. The 980 won't literally melt the shroud of a blower card. Want to custom loop? You might make enough money after electricity bill to fill up a half a tank of gas, but aside from that it’s really not worth it IMO.
 Posted February 12, 2018 I have a 390 and it holds its ground respectable against my friends 1080. Seeing as I paid 150 for the 390 and he paid over 600 for his card, I am extremely happy with my decision. ------------------------------- -Chris
