Choosing between these 1TB drives

I was pretty much sold on the Barracuda drive, however the WD Blue has 64MB cache as opposed to the 32MB on the Seagate drive. I'm not sure how much of a difference the doubled cache would make though.

For an extra $1 you may as well go WD blue. Double the cache and weather you notice it or not, it's only a dollar.

I have the seagate barracuda, but for one more dollar for double the cache, I'd go for the WD blue.

ive never had a problem with wd. so id go with that

Not really the problem with cache, but reliability of the brand. When used next to an SSD, any types of HDDs will seem slow.

For 1TB drives, I just get the WD Blues. They're plenty fast for me.

I'll advise the Seagate Barracuda because it's the one I use myself and I have had no issues with it.

Thank you guys, my one other question is software monitoring. I know both companies have software for monitoring drive health and the like, if I use WD's software and also buy the WD SSD, am I able to monitor both via the same software?

What are you looking to monitor the hdd and ssd for? its not something most people really need to do. Every now and again whiles troubleshooting i just use crystaldiskinfo. usually the manufacturers software isnt great. or so it doesnt look great. Crystal disk info is a great utility. i suggest using that

you can also monitor all hard drives and ssds in that
