GTX 1050 ok in 2018?

magiccupboard

So my gtx 460 after working for 8 years finally died and I ordered an EVGA 1050 OC

I want to play games like PUBG, Fortnite, Warframe, Fallout 4 and Black Desert Online on at least mid-high setting on a 1080p monitor.

Will the EVGA GTX 1050 suit my needs or with some tweaking?

I would recommend at least  1050TI to run at near 60fps at mid to high settings as the 2gb variant would most likely run out of VRAM and unless you have a lot of really fast system ram this will result in a reduction of performance

Like most of the other people here, I would recommend a 1050Ti. And as @WhisperingKnickers said, this would've been the question to ask before buying the card.

All but PUBG. For mid-high 1080p even a 1060 6gb will see dips below 60fps, while a 1050 wont even reach 50fps average.

Well the reason I got the GTX 1050 is because the ti variant was overpriced whilst my budget was £100 pounds, I thought it would be a decent upgrade from the GTX 460. 1050 Ti costs 150 - 250 pounds in my country

Edit: I got the 1050 for £110
