Intel Core i5-7400 or Intel Core i5-7600?

Hi, I'm planning to build a new gaming pc for myself, and I'm struggling to decide whether I should choose the 7400 or 7600. Here's my new PC Build

CPU: Intel Core i5-7400/7600

GPU: ASUS GAMING STRIX OC GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5

Ram: Corsair Vengance 8GB (2x4GB) 2133MHz DDR4

Motherboard: Asus H110M-D

PSU: Corsair 500W 80 Plus

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM 64MB

SSD: Corsair Force MP500 240GB M.2

Case: Corsair Carbide Series 270R Mid-Tower Case (Windowed)

Fans: 4x Corsair 140mm Red LED fans

I have seen a lot of comparison videos on Youtube between the two cpus. The gaming difference is 7-10% difference in total 10 games. The price of the 7400 is around $50 cheaper than the 7600, in Vietnam. I don't know if it's worth the $50. Please help me out! Thank you!

1) The H100 series needs a BIOS update which your board isn't guaranteed to have in order to work with the 7000 series chips

2) Look at the 8100 or 8400 and a cheap Z370 board, or wait a bit for the B and H 300 series boards to launch.

-or-

Look at Ryzen

i have a 7400, and it's decent. but it's last gen on a chipset with no further support. you are better off going with 8th gen.

I'd look at Ryzen, or an i3 8100. The 7400 isn't very good value unless you're getting it very cheap.

...Z270.

Also your wording is a little off. It is guaranteed to work, if it's listed as a feature of the BIOS update. You made it sound like it may or may not work regardless of what the manufacturer says.

Get a ryzen 5 1600, old i5s are trash

They're not trash, they're just not good at retail pricing. Get it for $100 and it's a great chop.

Meh, Z and X are close enough on the keyboard :P

If they don't mention support then I wouldn't trust them that it's guaranteed to work at all and it's not guaranteed to work out of the box on the stock BIOS since you don't know if it's been updated to a supported BIOS for the 7000 series chips or not.
