Can I connect ethernet PC to this repeater?

FlushaDev

I recently found this extender from DLink -> http://www.dlink.com/uk/en/products/dap-1620-ac1200-wifi-range-extender

I have a PC in my room and would like to know if I could connect the PC via ethernet so that it works with the repeater as it's Wi-Fi and the cable as it's connection, basically can I connect a computer ti this repeater's ethernet port or is it just for running a cable through the wall to extend the coverage, poor explanation since I'm a newbie at this networking stuff

Yes, the cable is to give wired internet to something. The repeater connects to the network via wireless.

Edit:

See below. It will not :(

According to the manual it won't do that, the wired connection is only to give this repeater its connection through a wire, instead of through Wi-Fi (so for most people this would mean you can connect the wire between your modem/router and this repeater to make the repeater sound out Wi-Fi)

Interesting, good catch :)

I've seen some that have LAN ports for you to connect more things to the other side so I just assumed, which is bad on my part.

Make sure the wifi extender is fairly close to the router, like 2 or so rooms away, only one floor above or below the router. Range extenders are incredibly sketchy once you get far away from the router.

Space is pretty awesome.

So is it able to provide internet to this PC or?

I know some of these devices can do either (including those from AVM I think), but they can't all do it either way.

This specific model cannot via wired connection.
