Posted January 7, 2018 you can try this http://ccm.net/faq/1192-lost-bios-password-resetting-the-bios if you can't find a jumper as it mentions post the mobo model you have and maybe we can help, or remove the battery, unplug the psu and try to turn the pc on to drain all the caps in the computer, should work pretty much the same... desktop Spoiler r5 3600,3450@0.9v (0.875v get) 4.2ghz@1.25v (1.212 get) | custom loop cpu&gpu 1260mm nexxos xt45 | MSI b450i gaming ac | crucial ballistix 2x8 3000c15->3733c15@1.39v(1.376v get) |Zotac 2060 amp | 256GB Samsung 950 pro nvme | 1TB Adata su800 | 4TB HGST drive | Silverstone SX500-LG HTPC Spoiler HTPC i3 7300 | Gigabyte GA-B250M-DS3H | 16GB G Skill | Adata XPG SX8000 128GB M.2 | Many HDDs | Rosewill FBM-01 | Corsair CXM 450W
 Posted January 7, 2018 Battery maintains bios settings. When you pulled out the battery, the settngs were lost and bios probably reset all settings to some default values Go in bios and check all settings especially ram frequency / xmp profile , m.2 pci-e lanes if you have m.2/nvme drive, ahci/ide compatibility mode for sata ports (you want ahci), even cpu frequency could be some lower default value. Posted January 7, 2018 1 minute ago, Power Hole Stick said: i meant to say that i replace the CMOS battery in under 1 week Those saved profiles are gone if you replaced the battery in some motherboards. So with removing the battery your bios would have defaulted its settings. iE - Slower Ram speeds and such is likely... DID YOU RE-SETUP YOUR BIOS AFTER BATTERY REINSTALL? Posted January 7, 2018 1 minute ago, Power Hole Stick said: i meant to say that i replace the CMOS battery in under 1 week That's fine, but if you computer was unplugged when you changed the battery you probably lost all your setting in you bios, such as overclock on the CPU or Memory that could be the cause for your reduced fps. Don't be a dick, when asked a question, GO INTO DETAIL WITH ANSWERS if you can, if not, find a technological friend to translate. Your Parts, plugged into your motherboard,... have to be SETUP in the bios that was reverted to normal values by removing the battery. Without new values they should be set at, it will likely be slower. If you have a tech-friend this will be sorted in likely... under a minute. Or take it to a store, and likely they won't charge you to quickly setup your bios in 60 seconds. Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. I got out, you took offense., thats on you. I'm not joking here either, without YOU having some basic knowledge, this won't be fixed straight away. Read your Motherboard Manual on HOW TO SETUP MEMORY SPEEDS, HDD PRIORITY & from there you should be off to a good start. It would be much easier if you just read your manual.... GPU has nothing to do with it, unless your not even getting a signal. If thats the case, this should have been mentioned first. If your have a signal, Read your Manual & Setup Bios accordingly, or ask a tech-friend to do it for you. Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,..
