Moving pictures from pc to switch

Out of curiosity, I tried to move some pictures to the switch via sd card like the 3ds, but it didn't work. Is there any way to do this?

It's likely they live in a specific folder and the system doesn't bother to check anywhere else.

I am not sure about it, but i heard different consoles uses different Movie and Screenshots formats and they only convert it into png when sending them outside.
