mine isn't the micro version, plus why the ram?

That's the cheapest way to move to a new platform, you need DDR4 to run this system.

That RAM pricing is scary and I'm not sure it's worth it to get a G4560 at this point when AM4 is usually an option for the long haul.

I didn't even wanna upgrade my ram...

The FM2 platform is dated and garbage (even when new) it'll be better to upgrade to a DDR4 system.

You have to upgrade to DDR4 no matter what new CPU you get, besides that should you get a Raven Ridge APU you want the fastest RAM you can find, as the APU's integrated GPU performance scales directly with memory speed as shown with this old APU.

Just make a new thread in like 2 months when raven ridge drops and you have a higher budget, even if you buy the 960 your CPU will be a heavy bottleneck

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I'm just a 14 yo, so I don't really wanna take some big moves, Know any GPU's that will go well with my build rn?

Yep, x4 860k is the fastest cpu for gaming available for his motherboard  socket and at same cost of 860k , there is pentium g4560 which is way better than 860k

Your CPU is just really slow for gaming, seriously, just come back when Raven Ridge Desktop APUs are released, that way you get a CPU upgrade and GPU upgrade for your money.

I would probably say an i3 8100 would be a good option, if you can find DDR4 at a reasonable price.

I really can't find any information on when the new APUs are coming, so it'd be hard to suggest.

I'm afraid there isn't a great cpu to upgrade to on your motherboard. If you want something decent without upgrading RAM go for LGA 1150 or 1155 or see if you can find a DDR3 LGA 1151 board (on PCPP france they're at least 100 euros though)

AT minimum I would recommend going for something like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor  (€66.35 @ Amazon France)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-H110M-DS2 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (€55.49 @ Amazon France)
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws 4 series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  (€68.16 @ Amazon France)
Total: €190.00
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-12-27 21:54 CET+0100

If you're willing you could go for a server board and save some money.

Not worth it, it also wants DDR3L not straight DDR3, lower voltage

The main voltage affected is the memory power which is supplied by the motherboard. Using DDR3 isn't really an issue.
