Zorin os lite, windows preview is gone

Now I was doing something and some popup out of nowhere came up and I accidentally clicked a button on it. It removed all the app icons from the taskbar like chrome and the terminal though still kept the system ones. The apps were working fine but yeah I wanted those icons back. I restarted the computer and still nothing. I clicked on zorin appearance and clicked on 1 of the 2 layouts. I remember the first option having windows preview but now the icons just have text with a weird underline color.
