EVGA 500 W1, 80+ WHITE 500W, 3 Year Warranty, Power Supply 100-W1-0500-KR, Black

This one is shit, even EVGA which is known for long warranty periods only give 3 years for this while decent units start at 5 years. 80+ white equals to 80+ (no metal name)  btw. Get something else.

People above keep bugging me about not recommending Seasonic S12ii and M12ii power supplies because they're old designs but at that price (cheaper than others if you don't include mail-in rebates which can be hit and miss) at least those had 5 year warranty and are rated for full 50 degrees Celsius at their maximum output power.

Group regulated designs dont get eliminated for no reason. Modern PCs rely more on the 12v rail and less on the other two rails. In group regulated design, this unbalanced load causes the voltage to change and ripple to increase significantly, sometimes going out of spec and can hurt PC parts.

Saying S12ii and M12ii makes up for it with warranty and price is bullshit. That's like recommending a dirt cheap heart transplant operation to someone in need because "someone will fix you your heart if it doesnt work". Performance and reliability overrides price here.

B2 is the only good Bronze unit from EVGA. Either look for other brands or use 80+ Gold ones if B2 isnt available, like G2 G3 and GQ

Tier 3 or above. Usually the cheapest that matches the criteria is the Corsair CXM with grey label (green one sucks).
