Folding@Home Install Guide and Links - LinusTechTips_Team - 223518

For some reason, during the last few months my folding is not contributing to the LTT team. I don't know how but I don't think that 223518 is the team number. Can someone post it?

PM me your FoldingID and I can try and help figure it out.

Check the FAQ for the link - download the new GPU Whitelist file - copy it your data directory, then reboot - hopefully that will help.

I've actually been able to fold since last night without doing anything. Not sure what the problem was before. Did get a bluescreen though when I tried to fold and browse at the same time today which is unusual.

I wish my GPU got more PPD.

And my CPU for that matter. When I first began folding on this computer it was getting around 18000 PPD, whereas now it's usually getting less than 10000. I'm stuck at position ~176 as a result, lol.

It means you use your computer(s) idle cycles to help research cures for things like cancer and in the process you are part of the LTT Folding team, helping us to earn World Domination and competing among your fellow LTT Folders. :)

I am up and folding on my 2600k HTPC, all stock BIOS settings, with a hyper 212, only pulling mid 40's as far as temps go! The side of my case is off, so that might be a pretty big determining factor, but hell, this might be a pretty decent 2600! CPU-Z has me running at 1.136-1.144 vcore.

Anyways, my question is, is there any flag I should give it since it is an i7, such as bigadv? Although I only plan to run it on 6 or 7 cores, leave a few open for XBMC.
