Transition to laptop from my PC

Hi.
I'm having few changes in my life and a good idea would be to go 'mobile'. Right now I have a bit aged PC that I can decently game on 1080p. i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz, MSI AMD Radeon R9 280X, 8 GB ram, 1 TB + 250 GB HHD, 128 GB SSD.
So in short, the idea would be to convert to an at least equal laptop and be able to copy all data. So it must have SSD and at least 1 TB HHD.
Can be used or new. And maybe I could do it "for free" if I manage to sell the PC well? Any ideas on how much I could sell it?

Good news is, 280X is easy for newer laptops to match and outperform.

My budget... Preferably 0. And by that, I mean to sell the whole setup (minus the mouse and headset) and then get a laptop for that. That said, obviously, I would need to sell it really well and get a deal on a laptop to be able to pull that off. So if it doesn't exceed $300 for the whole deal, it should be fine. Maybe $500... maybe.

My PC has a soundcard too btw. Needed it for the Razer Tiamat 7.1. Please don't comment on it. :D I got them for free, so it doesn't matter. I wonder if there are laptops with full 7.1 audio jacks available? Would suck to mess with an external soundcard.
The laptop doesn't have to be the thinnest or most silent. Mobility is the most important part. It can be one of those "mobile PC" types. As long as the deal stays within the budget.

I'm in pretty much the same situation with a desktop with components of the almost the same generation that I'm planning to sell to get a laptop for Xmas. I'll be looking for advice but I'm curious as to why you are not keeping the storage. I think I'll keep my SSD's and hard drives because they don't cost that much when they are sold used, and I'd like to keep my data, including the hundreds of GBs of games.

Yes, I am thinking about keeping the SSD at least. Just checked out some Alienware gaming laptops. Some are going for ~$500 on ebay. Don't know how the GTX750M is doing against R9280X tho.
