can i directly apply an alchohol wipe to the green part of the delidded cpu? or just the die?

you can soak the whole chip inside alcohol and wont damage it (use after it dries of course). It doesnt conduct electricity.

if the alcohol isn't very concentrated try not to leave standing liquid as the water would cause corrosion.
