man I'll give it a chance, and I really want it to do well but so over everything been so over the top staged with such basic humour :(

I'm hesitant after the first season.

The thing that I didn't like about the first season was every single little thing in Grand Tour felt like it was scripted.

Like if there was a challenge it felt to me like they had already planned what place everyone was going to get, where/how they were going to have a "problem", what they would say in response ect.

While they did some of this in Top Gear for sure it seemed far more egregious in Grand Tour.

I'd be perfectly happy if a segment was just be them doing whatever it is they planned and them talking to the camera/ each other about what is on their mind, about their cars, where they are or what they are going and if nothing goes wrong then so be it.

If I’m honest, I’m not that excited. I loved Top Gear with the guys, seeing celebrity guests, etc. 

 

Season on one of Grand Tour was okay but it got kind of boring, and the killing celebrities thing was funny at first but then I just got disappointed that there are no real guests. 

 

All it does is make me miss the old Top Gear more. 

 

Hopefully Season two is better.

Top gear started getting better with the second season. (Both the Clarkson, May, Hammond era and the LeBlanc era) 

So i'm hoping for more of the same here.

I'm excited for it. I enjoyed the first season and tbh the scripted nature of it didn't bother me. I did think the Celeb segments were a bit faff though. I might be weird though, I liked the American alright as well. xD

For me I am glad that they are back together again. When I heard that Top Gear was no more I was ticked. I was so mad that it took me a hole year to finish the last season. Then I watched it with the new people and  it didn't fell like they wanted to be doing it. They had really big shoes to fill. You can tell that in the Grand Tour they are trying to get back into the swing of things.
